Design and installation of the landscaping began in Spring of 2008. A number of different themed gardens now surround the house including the Cafe, Four Seasons, Fountain, Woodland, and Secret Gardens. A hexagon garden shed with bell-shaped roof adds a charming feature. Most recently an 80 foot stream and pond were added to the delight of guests relaxing on the screen porch A brick patio invites guests to linger for a summer meal under the pergola and provides space for a cozy gathering by the fire pit. Herb, vegetable and cutting gardens line the parking courtyard and are accented by vintage and whimsical collectibles.
The Octagon House Gardens were featured on the Red Wing Arts Association 2014 Garden Tour.
