July 19-21, 2013: Creative Arts Weekend

On July 19–21, 2013, the Octagon House hosted a fun-filled creative arts workshop and retreat with projects such as sun printing, felt flower-making, and crafting coasters with fusibles.

Instructor and Artist

Nancy Bryant, a studio artist who lives in Oregon, began creating art quilts in the mid-1990’s.  After a 30-year career teaching apparel design courses at Oregon State University, she retired in 2004.  In her studio, she creates art quilts, scarves, a small apparel line and silk flower sachets.  You can view her work at www.altavistastudio.com.
