  • Steve Danielson ~ Landscape designer and installer, constructed all the landscaping that surrounds the Octagon House today. His creative landscape style incorporates integrated gardens with the beauty and ambience of water features including fountains, ponds and streams. His designs often include features such as arches, pergolas, and private sanctuaries or outdoor living spaces. His work is featured in both residential and commercial properties in the Twin Cities, Red Wing and Wisconsin. His home gardens and pond in Maplewood have been featured twice on the Minnesota Water Garden Society tour.

Workshop Schedule

Friday Evening, June 23

  • 5:00 p.m. ~ Hors d’oeuvres on the porch with time to explore some of the gardens
  • 6:15 p.m. ~ Supper catered by Liberty’s Restaurant followed by Demonstration and Project Work

Saturday, June 24

  • 8:30 a.m. ~ Breakfast
  • 9:15 a.m. ~ Saturday activities begin for all participants — Demonstration & Project Work
  • 11:15 a.m. ~ Demonstration & Discussion ~ Succulents
  • 12:30 p.m. ~ Catered Luncheon in the Garden catered by Liberty’s Restaurant
  • 1:30 p.m. ~ Demonstration & Discussion ~ Pollinator Gardens
  • 2:00 p.m. ~ Demonstration & Project Work (including time to visit and relax)
  • 4:30 p.m. ~ Workshop Concludes

Basic schedule of activities may be modified closer to the time of the workshop.
